About us

Astro is a multidisciplinary art and design studio based in Brooklyn, NY and Portland, OR. We design and create thoughtful, modern and cheery homewares. 

Our origins

Astro the Studio was founded during the pandemic in 2020. After spending so much time baking in my kitchen, I grew tired of how sterile my surroundings were. Inspired in equal parts by my grandmother (who loved to gift cookie jars to members of my family!) and my new dog, Astro (namesake and official mascot of the studio!), I created Astro the Studio's first product in 2022: The Astro Cookie Jar.

Since launching in the summer of 2022, we've created a dozen new products, been featured in the press, and tabled at some of the biggest craft fairs in NYC!
